I’m not ready for treatment this week.😩 I’m not ready for injections in my butt, a pill that makes me radioactive, sleeping in a separate room from Andrew, and being isolated for a week. I’m not ready for early morning appointments, missed family dinners, and not being able to rock my babies to sleep...or give them hugs for a week. 😔 But I AM ready for all of this to be behind me, so I will do whatever it takes to get through and stay strong. There are so many unknows this week and I have no idea if I’ll be feeling ok or feeling awful. I don’t know if I’ll be up for good ole’ IG stories and sharing my struggles like I usually do, or if I’ll be so sick I just have to lie in bed. I have so much I want to do. And honestly I wanted God to do so much through this week of isolation and treatment...now I’m wondering if I may be too sick to even learn anything. I have no idea if any of this makes sense. But it’s allllll the feelings tonight. Prayer request: that this week isn’t as bad as I think and that I can feel semi good and get stuff DONE! 💪🏼 Thank you and love you all! ❤️ Ps: wear your #nicolecrushescancer  shirts any day starting tomorrow-30th! When you have #hypothyroidism  and hashimotos the list of your hypothyroid and autoimmune symptoms can become long and exhausting... They can affect any part of your body and even change from one day to another because thyroid hormones affect how well (or not) all your organs work and your body as a whole. You never know what to expect! So if you are not getting a proper thyroid treatment, expect the unexpected... But what can you do besides taking thyroid medication to support your thyroid naturally? I would like to let a message for me with your email if you want a Thyroid Diet Program For People With A Slow Metabolsim _____________________________ TAG Someone need information Follow us @thyroid.us  for more helpful things

I found out last week that I have thyroid cancer. I’m okay! Please don’t worry about me. I’m tougher than I look and this is a very treatable form of cancer that I believe I caught early. Will know more after I meet with the ENT and get more tests done. You guys know I’m an open book so I’ll share more as I go along. If you feel a lump, please go have it checked out (but don’t worry - most thyroid lumps are NOT cancerous). 🦋 #thyroidcancer  #toughchick

Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis is one of the Autoimmune Disease’s I have. I am glad I finally have some answers about what is going on with my body, but I can’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming anxiety about it. . It seems that I am not alone because the first thing my doctor said was “this is the most common autoimmune disease in America”. Now that I am at peace with this part of my diagnosis, I am here to write about what Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis is, how people can get it and what to do once you have been diagnosed. . What is Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis? Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis is a autoimmune condition that greatly effects the thyroid gland. It is caused by the formation of antibodies that make the thyroid attack itself. This usually can lead to hypothyroidism (aka too little thyroid hormone production). . Thyroid hormones help control how your body uses energy and without the hormones, your body cannot function properly. It is more commonly seen in woman than men and your chance of getting Hashimoto’s increases if someone in your family has it. . What are symptoms of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis? Everyone has different symptoms, but these are the most common symptoms reported. 👉 anxiety and depression 👉irregular periods and PMS symptoms 👉brain fog 👉constant fatigue 👉 weight gain / inability to lose weight 👉intertility . Everyone's body is different but if you are feeling any or all of these symptoms and are not getting answers, you should consult your doctor for appropriate testing! Once you have an answer diet and lifestyle changes can really help in healing❤❤ from @chelseagoldnutrition  send me a message if you want two books can be very helpful for you ❤🦋

Having #thyroiddisease  can affect your life in a profound way because it limits your abilities to live your life the way you want. You are just struggling through your day to get things done because lhypothyroidism and #hashimotos  rob you of energy and they do it in these 4 sneaky ways: ⠀⠀ 1. Due to lack of thyroid hormones you can have fatigue that cannot be cured with more sleep, taking things easy or slowing down.⠀ ________________________________________⠀ 2. By affecting the way how you metabolize and turn your food into energy⠀ ________________________________________ 3. By putting all body's and immune system energy into fighting the disease and all other imbalances that it creates.⠀ ________________________________________ 4. By changing the way how you replenish your energy with sleep, rest and relaxation. ________________________________________⠀⠀ However, you can take specific steps to improve your hypothyroid and autoimmune symptoms and change things for the better! Learn how to do it in with our free books : The Right And Wrong Ways To Heal at the link in my instagram profile description at @thyroid.us  <<== clickable link P.S. next monday Will be sent and if you sent me your email in a message no need To check the link ❤🌹 and dont forget To tag someone need To see this 🤷‍♀️

#Fatigue , excessive sleep without feeling more energy after waking up, brainfog and inability to function without a nap are often the most debilitating hypothyroid and autoimmune symptoms that come with hypothyroidism and #hashimotos  Worse, you may be already receiving thyroid treatment and taking medication but the symptoms just don't go away... The truth is that conventional medicine treatment has limited results for many patients because it doesn't address so many factors that actually cause thyroid dysfunction and affect your thyroid hormones pathway. Learn more about how to overcome hypothyroidism by restoring your thyroid hormone pathway send your email To receive 3 books for free 🦋❤

every day, think as you wake up: today i am fortunate to have woken up. i am alive. i have a precious human life + i am not going to waste it.” ____________ A quote a wrote down at the beginning of the year, words that I value more than ever today. Almost 3 weeks post-op and exactly 5 since I was diagnosed, new scar and all. I don’t feel fully myself but maybe that’s okay. True healing takes takes time and through it all (the good days and the mental breakdowns) I’m learning to look at this journey in a different light and trust the process. Even if the process feels unfair at times. There are no answers when it comes to cancer - that may be the hardest part of all, but this life is beautiful and today I’m proud of myself + my body for its ability to heal. 🌼

It is Day 3 of recovering from my thyroidectomy. Before I get into it all, I just want to say thank you again to all of the beautiful people who came visit us at the hospital, those who sat and waited in the waiting room with my family, those who popped in to check on my family in the waiting room, and those who continue to check on us and let us know that they are continueing to pray for us. It means so much to my family and I, and it is what keeps us chugging along during this new journey. I am not going to lie though, it is not all sunshine and rainbows. It's been hard, not only physically, but more so mentally. It's hard for my ADHD self to sit still, it's hard not to be able to love on my pets, and it's hard not to feel depressed, swollen, and ugly. Yesterday was rough. I sat around the house feeling depressed, went to church with my family, and then felt sorry for myself some more. I knew that sitting in self-pitty wasn't right. Therefore, I prayed and asked for strength...strength to do something productive, strength to look at the positives in life, and strength to defeat and deminish all of my insecurities. Today, the Lord gave me strength. I woke up with energy and felt thankful. I did something productive today, I communicated with others, I walked around outside, I went for a car ride and I may have snuck a hug from Tilly and Bella! It really is the little things that we take for granted in life... Thursday is my post-op appointment! Please continue to pray that the form of cancer wasn't aggressive and that it has not spread! The Lord hears us, and he wants to continue to hear from you! Center yourself in his presence, and I promise it will feel like a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders! ❤️

Have you invested in your health lately? ⬇️ Did you know health care costs are one of the main reasons people file bankruptcy? ⬇️ Do you want to spend the majority of your retirement funds on medical cost? ⬇️ What you invest in your health now will pay off later. ⬇️ Spend a little extra on whole clean foods, good non gmo supplements, pure essential oils, a health coach, a trainer, exercise equipment, gym membership - whatever of these that helps you get healthier and set the foundation to live a healthier life. ⬇️ Food is #1  and your body’s fuel source. Start there. You can’t outrun or take enough pills to cover up a bad diet. Believe me, I tried for years. ⬇️ See links @healthywithjamie1  for resources and support.

Distance running is mind over matter. It’s pushing through when you want to give up. It’s finding happiness when all you want to do is CRY. Yesterday I PR’d on my 9 mile run just to get my ASS Kicked on my 14 mile run this morning. My body definitely needed a little more recovery time so it was a slow one but, Guess what? It wasn’t as fast as I would have liked, I had to walk up a hill, and my mind almost won but it didn’t which means I’m better than I was yesterday, I’m stronger than I was before I started it so technically I’m WINNING. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Before starting 2B Mindset I would have never had the ambition or energy to even think about training for a marathon or 50K and now less than 2 months out from my first marathon, and 3 months out from my first ultra! Thyroid issues are increasing at a fast pace, particularly within Western Society. How many supplements do you take vs how many #supplements  you really need when you have #hypothyroidism  and #hashimotos ? The truth is that to support your #thyroid  it is better to correct your nutritional deficiencies through diet. The problem is that many #hypothyroid  and #autoimmune  patients don't digest and absorb their foods properly and are trying to compensate with a boat-load of supplements. This can get really expensive and complicated. ⠀ ⠀ To correct this problem and eliminate most supplements I suggest to do 2 things that will cut your daily dose to only 2 supplements:⠀ 1. Take a high quality LIVE potent #probiotic  to improve #digestion  and nutrient absorption.⠀ 2. Make sure that you not only get enough protein but also can properly digest it. One of the way to get enough protein is to add some to your smoothies, shakes and juices as a #proteinpowder  that has a higher absorption.⠀ ⠀ I’d like to let you know that a reputable holistic health company is giving away to everyone who would like to try out and experience the benefits a FREE bottle of probiotic and a FREE container of protein powder.⠀ ⠀ Both can be very helpful for people with #thyroiddisease  such as hypothyroidism, #autoimmunedisease  #hashimotosthyroiditis  #hyperthyroidism , impaired digestion, #constipation  diarrhea and #autoimmunity. ⠀ ⠀ These 2 supplements not only provide nutrients that are often lacking in people with #thyroidissues  and #autoimmunediseases  but also improve digestion of foods and absorption. It’s truly free, no strings attached, worldwide shipping.⠀ ⠀ You can get it via my website https://outsmartdisease.com/free or just use the link in my Instagram profile description @outsmartdisease  <<<=== click

This is @that_bird_with_glasses , you will have seen her recently coming 3rd in her #strongwoman  #competition.  We have #trained  for #powerlifting  events, strongwoman and #fatloss  since starting together, she has never given less than her all. A lot of people comment on how strong she is. Like all the people who I train with, they all have visible and invisible strengths. To help you understand a bit more; Dannielle was diagnosed with papillary #carcinoma  in 2016, had a full #thyroidectomy  and has TSH suppression #therapy  for the rest of her life to prevent the return of the #cancer.  The correct dosage of thyroxine ensures that her body can regulate itself properly. Without it, her body can shut down. If the dosage isn’t correct, it can result in extreme #hypothyroidism  -massive weight gain, extreme #fatigue , incredibly low mood and lack of interest in anything. The other scale is #hyperthyroidism  -irritability, extreme fatigue however unable to sleep, hair loss, extreme weight loss, bad skin...the list is endless ———————————————— I asked Dannielle to tell me her thoughts on training and this is what she said, knowing this gives an extra perspective on just how much effort is given to training. “90% of the time, I love to train. I have found since strength training and eating the right foods, my condition is much more #manageable.  Not only does it have a positive impact on me physically but also #mentally.  I truly #believe  that one day, the cancer will return, and so #strengthtraining  makes me feel that I will be strong enough to tackle it again and beat it again. On bad days, I have to use all I have to go into the #gym.  I remind myself how far I’ve come along with telling myself that I still have a long way to go. It keeps me motivated.” - - - - - - - - - - - - #neversurrender  #weightrainjng  #womenwholift  #empoweryourself  #squat  #bench  #deadlift  #logpress  #truckpull  #motivation  #personaltrainer  #sthelens

🦋🦋🦋 #cancersurvivor  🦋🦋🦋 • Today I have been thanking God for His mercy and Grace through Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. Here is my story to help raise awareness and help someone who may be traveling down a similar path: • A small nodule was found ony thyroid during a CT Scan of my lungs. I was referred to an endocrinologist who found "questionable" cells during a biopsy. Then, 9 years and 6 days ago, I went into surgery to have half of my thyroid removed and came out of surgery with no thyroid, no parathyroid and a diagnosis of cancer. We we're a little shocked! However, we continued to trust the Lord in all of it Going in we knew there was a 1% chance of cancer. Great news though, they said it was encapsulated and I had a 99% chance of the cancer not spreading. • One year later the cancer metastasized to the lower part of the thyroid bed. The treatment was to literally drink radioactive iodine 131 (RAI) (the big dose) 😱 Side note: I had already had the small, testing dose. Which found the recurrence. Fun Fact: When you drink radioiodine, the doctor who administers it where's what looks like an intense hazmat suit and then you must be quarantined from people, including family for a period of time. The good news: I have had no recurrence in the last 8 years! 🎉 • REAL TALK 💯 ✅ If you feel a nodule on your thyroid, please go to an endocrinologist and get it checked out. Hopefully they will order a biopsy. It is better safe than sorry! ✅ Expect some lifelong changes... In other words, embrace your #newnormal.  If you have recently received a diagnosis of thyroid cancer, you will hear phrases like, "It is one of the best cancers to have." Although it is very true in the respect that it is usually treatable... News Flash: IT IS STILL CANCER. And brace yourself, once the cancer is cured you may still have lifelong effects from treatment and continued hormone therapy for life. However my friend, you can handle this with strength and dignity!! And even better, if you call on Jesus to help you He will; exceedingly and abundantly above all that you ask according to his will. (Eph 3:20) ✅ Fun Fact: The symbol of the butterfly is used 🦋 Read on in comments

I am back from my last visit to MD Anderson. My labs/scans were last month so no scanxiety! I was there for supportive care and visiting the AYA clinic. Because I am on the adult side of MDA this was my first time at pediatrics. To say it’s a different universe would be an understatement!! I loved the sticker on my wristband.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I had so much fun at Kim’s Place. On my second day there we had a very special visitor. From the Kingdom of Anahuac: The Gator Queen! She came to bring goodwill and represent gators positively in our land. We celebrated her arrival with a gator craft. I was bestowed the honor of wearing the gator crown with lots of applause from my cancer fam. So, it's soon to be 6 years since I had a total thyroidectomy (RIP you beautiful thyroid) and it wasn't as simple as I was first told. It's been a long, hard, turbulent, lonely and dedicated journey to get where I am today. 2.5 years of figuring out my body's needs & fine tuning each area, including nutrition, stress management, meditation, mindfulness, exercise and supplements to support the process. Through a functional medicine approach with many lifestyle changes, I have overcome, or learnt how to manage the many symptoms that followed (debilitating migraines, restless legs, brain fog, nerve pain, muscle spasm, insomnia, heightened stress, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, poor memory & weight gain). Yes weight gain is last, because this was never a priority in my journey. Yes an eventual goal, but this so happened to follow naturally while addressing the route cause of my symptoms. Hypothyroid symptoms can be changed, they can be stopped and they can be reversed. I regret following advice & being allowed to have it removed. However, hindsight is a wonderful thing, so now, I continue to move forward & hopefully help ease someone else's pain or suffering along the way.

I’M A FAILURE‼️ ⠀ My dreams aren’t feasible. ⠀ I’m not creative. ⠀ I don’t have people skills. ⠀ I’m not capable. ⠀ There’s nothing for anyone to be proud of me for. ⠀ All things I’m so quick to say to myself. And I’m sure you talk about yourself in a negative way too. We are our own worst critic! But could you turn to someone you love and say those things to them?? I recently had a @hustlesanely  call and a gal in the said this happened at a conference she attended. They were asked to write down everything they think or have thought about themselves. I’m sure that the people in the room were thinking they would just tear it up at the end or burn it BUT NOOOO 😵 They had to turn to another woman in the room and say it to them!! I can tell you that I literally could not do that! ⠀ So why is it so easy for us to talk down to ourselves while we’re trying to build others up? Let’s stop now. Let’s start saying to ourselves what we would tell our bffs 👯 Kindness should start from within 💯 ⠀ Are there things that you’ve said about yourself that you would never say to a friend? ⠀

Yesterday I found out I have to do another round of treatment this year. I will be moving my care to Seattle since Spokane doesn’t have the technology to give me the best help . My response was anger, anxiety, and fear. I smashed a bottle of wine and crushed a bowl of pasta. My reaction did not help me feel better (especially the hangover this morning🙄) . Today’s a new day. I’m going to journal about how this situation is making me feel, I am going to be patient with my new doctors, and I’m going to go lift some heavy weights until I feel better. 🤷🏻‍♀️ . . . .#keto  #cancer  #cancersurvivor  #cancersucks  #thyroidcancer  #thyroidhealing  #thyroidproblems  #thyroidectomy  #healing  #fitness  #weightloss  #weight  #weightlossjourney  #transform  #iammyinspiration

Could you guess what 2 most prescribed drugs are? Antidepressants are the most prescribed medication that was sold through the pharmacies while T4-only medication Levothyroxine sodium is the number 2 most prescribed drug in USA in 2011. About 18.5 million people were on antidepressants such as SSRIs, SNRIs and newer generation products while more than 70.5 million prescriptions are given for Synthroid alone annually. Both are also routinely prescribed for #thyroid  patients with #hypothyroidism  and #autoimmune  #hashimotos.  The only problem is... they both seldom work. Today has been a morning filled with snuggles, kisses and laughter. It has also been a morning of gratitude. I am thankful for this path I am walking. It has been hard, tough, unexpected and not really wanted but I am thankful. I have gained this sense of peace I have never known before. I use to insanely struggle with health anxiety for the past 4 years or so but since I started this journey way back in March, I haven't felt one ounce of anxiety. Yes I have been nervous, a little fearful, angry and have cried but that is very different from the anxiety I use to fight. God given peace is all I can explain it as. I feel so proud of myself, the things I have endured physically and mentally. I have never been so thankful and in love with my husband and son. Never so thankful for my family and community. Yeah I'm feeling a bit mushy today, give me a break my body is learning to function without a thyroid! 😜 All this to say, I am thankful. Thankful for this beautiful life. Thankful to be able to show how God has helped me walk through this storm, one that I'm still walking. Thankful to love on my husband, son, family, community and thankful for the love everyone has shown me! #thisishowifightmybattles  #1000gifts  #godisgood  #thyroidectomy  #thyroidcancer

Things my Frenchie does.....🐶😍 1) She refuses to poop on her walks or if anyone is in the garden with her (posh pooch) ❤ 2) She will (at a push) use her water bowl but much prefers to drink from a water bottle (not the pet one we bought specially mind, nope an actual mineral water bottle 🙄🙄) ❤ 3) She will eat anything, and I mean ANYTHING. Stones, twigs, anything she can find (which leaves me living on my last nerve! 🙈🙈) ❤ 4) She falls asleep on the sofa and refuses to budge, we can only get her into her bed by carrying her there ❤ 5) She has 2 dog beds, 2 comfy throws, her own pillow and soft toys but much prefers to lie on the concrete patio for her daytime nap. ❤ 6) The flatulence is horrendous. She's even woken herself up with the smell, then had the audacity to give me a filthy look and change sofas! 🤣🤣 ❤ But she's so loveable, crazy, fussy & funny that she's completely stolen my heart ❤🐶😍❤🐶😍 xx . ❤🥄👑 .#spoonie  #mumof4  #frenchbulldog  #frenchie  #pets  #love  #cute  #autoimmunedisease  #gravesdisease  #chronicillness  #thyroidectomy  #flareday  #woman  #invisibleillness  #positive  #spooniesupport  #bodypositive  #selfcare  #hypoparathyroidism  #lowcalcium

Every piece of a healthy lifestyle is a tool in the tool belt. These supplements didn't put the healthy food in my mouth or make me put one foot in front of the other but it did help me have more rested sleep so 👉I 👈felt capable of getting out of the bed early enough to hit the gym. It balanced my blood sugar so👉 I 👈didn't have to carry horrible snacks with me when my blood sugar dropped. It took the edge off my sugar craving so👉 I 👈could tackle my 3 sodas a day problem. It helped balance my stomach so 👉 I 👈could eat the healthy foods that were causing me intense pain and bloating. Perspective is key friends. I was living with all of that and just thought it was the way it was. Everyone has their things right. I couldn't get it together though and my body was starting to give me every warning sign that I was heading in a bad direction.👉 I 👈changed my health, not the supplements I swear by. This stuff isn't magic snake oil fixing the world's problems. It's's plants, herbs, nutrition and science in a clean and easy system that helped my body so much 👉I👈 am able to change my life. What support do you need? What are you just living with? Don't write off natural help, it could be exactly what 👉 YOU 👈 need. #nutrition  #exercise  #supplements  #drinkyourwater

Day 19 ✔️ .#NSV  for me tonight. When I first started working out breathing was a real struggle, actually it was a struggle when walking or even standing still for periods of time. It didn’t matter if it was through my nose or mouth I could never get that deep satisfying breath. It almost felt like there was a wall separating my throat from my chest and the air I was trying to inhale would bounce off that wall. It was stressful and scary and I remember thinking something had to be wrong it can’t just be from being overweight or out of shape. . Tonight was Cardio night and Autumn mentioned getting that deep cleansing breath. Naturally I took a deep cleaning breath and my lungs expanded with all that air beautifully as they should. It felt so good. Then it hit me, I can take a deep breath. I can control my breathing!!!! I honestly don’t know when it happened. It’s funny when something stops being an issue how fast you forget about that struggle you once had. __________________________________________#weightlossjourney  #weightloss  #weightlossmotivation  #weightlosstransformation  #weightlossinspiration  #weightlosssupport  #weightlossideas  #weightlossgoals  #weightlossdiary  #fitness  #fitnessmotivation  #fitnessjourney  #fitnesstransformation  #fitnessinspiration  #mamagotback  #momswhoworkout  #fitfam  #fat2fit  #healthyfood  #healthylifestyle  #healthychoices  #keto  #athomeworkouts  #plussizefitness  #health  #diet  #fatloss  #girlmom  #thyroidectomy

One year since my #thyroidectomy  and #cancerfree  I am happy that people I care about who have been through all the things that comes along with #cancer  are still clear. This lovely lady gave me a lot of strength to make it through my journey and I love that this yearly picture is becoming an amazing traditional at #tribalmaniamiami  . I hope I can always be as happy as she is and as strong as she will always be. I am officially FREE from isolation!! 🎉🎉 I had my whole body scan this morning and am now waiting on results, which I should have back in a week or so. The scan will show a few things: if the #radioactiveiodine  worked, if my cancer has metastasized anywhere else in my body, and will serve as a baseline for future scans as my progress is tracked. . I am hoping and praying for good news, but until then, you bet I stopped at @mcdonalds  for sustenance after three weeks on the #lowiodinediet.  And I'm not ashamed one bit. 😜 I saw the golden arches and knew it had to happen! 😂 . Now I'm going to go home and love on my babies, my hubby and my pets and probably enjoy more foods like pizza and ice cream later. 😁 Today is a good day for a good day! . PS - Thanks y'all for all your encouragement over the last week. It truly helped me get through my isolation. ❤ .#thyroidcancer  #thyroid  #thyroidcancerawareness  #rachelgoesradioactive  #hugmeimradioactive  #follicular  #papillary  #hypothyroidism  #hypothyroid  #cancerdiet  #LID  #thyroidproblems  #isolation  #thyca  #thyroidectomy
