When your dinner plate is bigger than you ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฒ . Sorry if youโ€™ve already seen this one on my @blooms.everafter  account but I havenโ€™t had any time to sit down and edit new pictures. Weโ€™re putting the finishing touches on our new garden and every spare minute has gone into that. Iโ€™m soooo happy with how itโ€™s turned out! Itโ€™s in my stories if youโ€™d like to see ๐Ÿ˜ Already we have loads of bees, earthworms, a few frogs, dragon and damsel flies and some butterflies. The hummingbirds havenโ€™t visited it yet but hopefully with a few feeders added, theyโ€™ll discover it soon. I would love to hear what your favorite plant for the garden is ๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™ve promised some of you a plant list of what weโ€™ve used so here it is Little Lime Hydrangea, Limelight hydrangea tree, Hollyhock (spring celebrities carmine rose), Shoal Creek chaste tree, phlox (fashionably early crystal), Althea (strawberry smoothie, collie mullens and blueberry smoothie), alyssum, nepeta (walkerโ€™s low), Viburnum trees (Sharon Kay), roses (Weeks- arctic blue and love song) (Kordes Poseidon), cranesbill geranium sanguineum var. striatum, false indigo and 3 varieties of allium. Think I got them all ๐Ÿ˜… Some plants I wanted werenโ€™t available anymore since weโ€™re a bit past the planting season but we can always add in next spring ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒบ

When it comes to baths, the snow queen always goes first... even if she has to use her fluff to shove herself to the front of the line ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜†โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ’ฆ . The birds have been offered larger, shallower baths but these single dip tubs are what they prefer ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Iโ€˜ve been wanting to introduce you guys to Tulip for some time ๐ŸŒท She is a very stylish hummingbird with her white eyeshadow and bouffant hairstyle ๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ And what a glorious #ToT  she has! The female hummers donโ€™t hang around much anymore. They come feed and take off. Maybe theyโ€™re busy with nests and babies? I was thrilled when Tulip perched for a bit this day. Iโ€™m not sure why her head or feathers form that little poof on top of her head (you can zoom in to see it). Whether she was born this way or itโ€™s from an injury, I donโ€™t know. But I love her look and hopefully itโ€™s nothing that impairs her health. She seems to be doing great and had her model game on for me. Such a beautiful little one ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ

Winter has the sweetest smile donโ€™t you think? ๐Ÿ˜Œโ„๏ธ๐Ÿ’— . If youโ€™ve been following along in stories, you already know about my big gardening projects. For those who havenโ€™t seen, my partner in gardening mayhem (my husband) and I (and weโ€™re both newbies at this ๐Ÿ˜…) have started a big bed on the side of our house and one in the back too. Weโ€™ve lived in this house for over 10 years and never really did much of anything with our yard and garden. When I fell in love with the hummingbirds about a year ago, I decided I was going to plant a hummingbird garden on the empty side. Well, my hubby, who loves all the birds too, really got into the idea as well and as things often do with us, it snowballed. So weโ€™re doing a huge transformation all around our house (doesnโ€™t take much considering the state it was in ๐Ÿ˜ฌ) and having a lot of fun with it ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŒพ . Cute little story.... while cleaning out the walkout pit from our basement, my husband discovered a frog had made his home under a pile of leaves which he had just removed. He told me he put the leaves back so the frog would be safe. He couldnโ€™t just evict the poor guy from his home ๐Ÿ˜† How sweet is that? So for now our pit will have a small pile of leaves in one corner and little frog will have his home โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‚ #gardendiary

Cuddle with me? ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฏ #waybackwednesday  Olivia is home! She got home late yesterday night. It was her 16th birthday and the whole flight sang Happy Birthday to her on the plane! How awesome is that? Iโ€™m so grateful for the amazing teachers who planned this incredible trip to Europe and made it so special for everyone ๐Ÿ’— . Last night I dreamed about Finn and Dash. Dash was our Collie that passed when Finn was still a puppy. In my dream, I kept seeing Finn outside from my house window. A man was working on something out there. I would go to get Finn because he wasnโ€™t well and shouldnโ€™t be out there. I answered the manโ€™s questions about what type of dog he was, etc. and then we went in. This happened again a couple of times. The last time, Dash was out there too. When I went out, Dash went off running towards a park. It was amazing to see him run. Dash had been an extra huge sized Collie who, at the end in his old age, couldnโ€™t get up on his own and could barely walk due to his hips. So it was wonderful to see him happily bound away like that in my dream. I was going to bring Finn back in when my son came out with his leash and told me he would take him for a walk. I thought, โ€œbut he canโ€™t do it, heโ€™s not wellโ€ but then off he went looking both happy and healthy โ˜บ๏ธ I love to imagine that my two big fluffy fur babies are together somewhere playing pain free in a beautiful field and as happy they were in my dream โ™ฅ๏ธ

The cutest little tree topper ๐Ÿ˜ Love how he looks so different from second to second ๐Ÿงš๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ The third picture was when he saw another hummer flying by ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚

Happy 14th Birthday Luca...3 days late ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿฅณ . We love this boy so much! He had just arrived to South Carolina from Germany (this was 3 years ago) when we first met him. So many changes in his life but he was as sweet as could be and totally relaxed. When he gave Olivia his signature lip waggle, she was completely smitten. We welcomed him to our family. He helped her in her recovery from back surgery and they formed a beautiful bond right away. Eva also fell hard for this guy once he arrived in Kansas. Canโ€™t blame her. Heโ€™s incredibly lovable and his silliness just makes you laugh ๐Ÿฆ„โค๏ธ

My little bluebird of happiness ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆœ . Iโ€™m still smiling from yesterday evening ๐Ÿ˜ The hummingbirds came to drink from my handheld feeder!! It was absolutely the coolest experience to feel the air from their wings blowing on my hand like a mini ac unit. Squeaker claimed me (me as a flower) and started guarding me ๐Ÿ˜‚ The birds buzzed all around me chasing each other and stopping to feed many times. They still had access to all their normal feeders so it was truly amazing to me that they actually came to my hand โ˜บ๏ธ I didnโ€™t get video of them at my hand but I put what I got in my stories ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ

Our little adventurer ๐Ÿ† . Ever is always ready to explore. Do your fur kids like to go outside for adventures or are they happiest snuggled up indoors? I think our dogs are a mix of both but Ever definitely prefers to be outside on a nice day ๐Ÿ˜ธโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž . .#freyaeverafter  #bengal  #catphotography  #adventurecat
